The White Australia policy is a term encapsulating a set of historical policies that aimed to forbid people of non-European ethnic origin, especially Asians (primarily Chinese) and Pacific Islanders, from immigrating to Australia, starting in 1901. The Colombo Plan is a regional intergovernmental organization that began operations on 1 July 1951. Percy Spender
Sir Percy Claude Spender (5 October 18973 May 1985) was an Australian politician, diplomat, and judge. He served in the House of Representatives from 1937 to 1951, including as a cabinet minister under Robert Menzies and Arthur Fadden. Charles Edwin Woodrow Bean (18 November 1879 – 30 August 1968), usually identified as C. E. W.
