Racing Club De Montevideo
Racing Club de Montevideo is a football club from Montevideo in Uruguay. It currently participates in the Uruguayan Segunda División Profesional following their relegation at the end of the 2019 season. Racing CM is known as "La Escuelita" (The Little School) due to the high standard of players that have emerged from their teams. Racing is one of Uruguay's traditional teams, in terms of victories and fans. However, in the last few years, Racing has faced economic problems and struggled to remain consistent and perform well at the Uruguayan League. Racing's main rival is Fénix, with whom they contest the ''Clásico del Oeste''. Juan José Verzeri Casas (born 20 May 1963) is an Uruguayan football coach, who is currently assistant manager of Peñarol. He is nicknamed "Ingeniero" (Engineer), for his secondary profession. Coaching career Verzeri was born in Montevideo. In early 2008, he became assistant manager of Julio César Ribas at Oman for a short period of time. In mid-2008, Verzeri took up coaching at Racing Club de Montevideo in the Uruguayan Primera División. He played a vital role for Racing to qualify to the 2010 Copa Libertadores. Eduardo Jorge Favaro Carbajal (born 26 March 1963) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player who played as a forward. He is the current manager of Ecuadorian club . Career Favaro was born in Montevideo, and was a Nacional youth graduate.
