Jean Tate Jean Tate is the daughter of Zoe Tate ( Leah Bracknell) and Scott Windsor (Ben Freeman). She appeared from 2003 to 2005. Jean is conceived during a one-night stand between Zoe and Scott whilst Zoe, a lesbian, was suffering from schizophrenia. Jean is named after Zoe's mother. Her father is unknown until Scott comes forward after confessing to his mother Viv Hope ( Deena Payne) and her husband Bob Hope ( Tony Audenshaw) while Jean is in hospital following an accident when she fell off a table. Leah Bracknell
Alison Rosalind Bracknell (12 July 1964 – 15 September 2019), known professionally as Leah Bracknell, was an English actress who played the role of Zoe Tate in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'' (1989–2005), for which she was nominated for the 2002 National Television Award for Most Popular Actress and won the 2006 British Soap Award for Best Exit. She was also a qualified teacher with the British School of Yoga and designed and produced a jewellery line. Early life Born in Westminster, London, Bracknell was the daughter of English television director David Ian Bracknell (1932–1987) and Chinese-Malaysian actress Li-Er Hwang. Her parents met while filming ''The World of Suzie Wong'' in Hong Kong in 1959. David was an assistant director and Li-Er played the part of "Wednesday Lu" in the film. Dawn Hope (also Woods) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, ''Emmerdale'', played by Julia Mallam. She made her first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 16 February 2003 and her last on 14 July 2006. Jamie Hope is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. He was played by Alex Carter and first appeared on screen on 16 February 2006. He last appeared on 21 May 2010, after Carter quit the soap in order to pursue new projects. Casting Carter's casting was announced in November 2005. Edna Birch is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Shirley Stelfox. She made her first appearance during the episode first broadcast on 25 May 2000. Lyn Paul (born Lynda Susan Belcher; 16 February 1949) is an English pop singer and actress. She came to fame as a member of the international chart-topping pop group the New Seekers in the early 1970s.
