Racha Arodaky
Racha Arodaky () is a Syrian/French pianist born in Damascus. She studied at the Conservatoire de Paris in the class of Dominique Merlet. After receiving her ''premier prix de conservatoire'' at age 16, she went to study at the Moscow Conservatory with Yevgeny Malinin. She has also studied with Murray Perahia. She pursued a career as a recitalistJean-Pierre Thiollet, ''88 notes pour piano solo'', Neva Editions, 2015, pp. 53–54. in venues as diverse as the Salle Pleyel and the Salle Gaveau in Paris, Barge Music in New York, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, the concert halls of Seoul and Busan, Manege in Reims, Palais de la musique et des congrès Strasbourg, Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes and Cairo Opera. Salle Gaveau
The Salle Gaveau, named after the French piano maker Gaveau, is a classical concert hall in Paris, located at 45-47 rue La Boétie, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It is particularly intended for chamber music. Construction The plans for the hall were drawn up by Jacques Hermant in 1905, the year the land was acquired. The construction of the Gaveau building took place from 1906 to 1907. The vocation of this hall was chamber music from the beginning, and its seating capacity was a thousand, just as it is today. The hall was home to a large organ built in 1900 by the Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, Cavaillé-Coll, Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll firm. Syrian Pianists
Syrians ( ar, سُورِيُّون, ''Sūriyyīn'') are an Eastern Mediterranean ethnic group indigenous to the Levant. They share common Levantine Semitic roots. The cultural and linguistic heritage of the Syrian people is a blend of both indigenous elements and the foreign cultures that have come to inhabit the region of Syria over the course of thousands of years.
