''Wentworth'' is an Australian television drama series. It was first broadcast on SoHo on 1 May 2013 and it concluded on Fox Showcase with its 100th episode on 26 October 2021. The series serves as a contemporary reimagining of ''Prisoner'', which ran on Network Ten from 1979 to 1986. Lara Radulovich and David Hannam developed ''Wentworth'' from Reg Watson's original concept. Patrick White Playwrights' Award
The Patrick White Playwrights' Award is an annual Australian literary award established jointly by the Sydney Theatre Company and ''The Sydney Morning Herald'' in honour of Patrick White's contribution to Australian theatre. The award was launched in 2000 and in 2011, was amended to include the Patrick White Fellowship. The A$7,500 cash award is given for an unproduced play to foster the development of Australian playwrights.
