Ra'Shede Hageman
Ra'Shede Hageman (born Ra'Shede Knox; August 8, 1990) is an American football defensive tackle for the Daytona Beach team of the American Patriot League (APL). He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Minnesota. Early years Ra’shede Hageman was born in Minneapolis with younger brother Xavier. Hageman traveled in, and out of various foster homes in Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, until being adopted at age 7. Hageman’s birth mother battled with alcohol and substance abuse and the birth father was never in the picture. In 1998 Ra’shede and his younger brother were adopted by lawyers Eric Hageman and Jill Coyle. Hageman attended Washburn High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he played basketball and football. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach.
