Ryan Rua
Ryan Anthony Rua (born March 11, 1990) is an American former professional baseball outfielder and first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers. Career Rua attended Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, Ohio. He attended NCAA Division II Lake Erie College. Rua was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 17th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He was the first player in school history to be drafted. He made his professional debut for the Arizona League Rangers that year and also played for the Spokane Indians. In 52 games, he hit .303./.376/.484 with four home runs. He returned to Spokane in 2012 and hit .293/.368/.432 with seven home runs in 74 games. During his time in the minor leagues, Rua primarily played third base and second base. Murilo Milani Rua (; born May 22, 1980), also known as Ninja, is a retired Brazilian mixed martial artist who fought in Pride Fighting Championships. He is the older brother of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. He is known for his aggressive Muay Thai style. Rua is a veteran of Pride Fighting Championships, where he once enjoyed a reputation as one of the best middleweights in the world. Rua regularly fought at 185 pounds, but has also fought at 205 pounds and heavyweight. He is the former (and first ever) EliteXC Middleweight Champion. Michele Rua
Michele Rua ( eng, Michael Rua; 9 June 1837 – 6 April 1910) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and professed member of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Rua was a student under Don Bosco and was also the latter's first collaborator in the order's founding as well as one of his closest friends. He served as the first Rector Major of the Salesians following Bosco's death in 1888. He was responsible for the expansion of the Salesians and the order had grown to a significant degree around the world at the time he died. Rua served as a noted spiritual director and leader for the Salesians known for his austerities and rigid adherence to the rule. It was for this reason that he was nicknamed, 'the living rule'. The process of Rua's beatification opened after his death and culminated as Pope Paul VI beatified Rua in 1972. He competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Matthew Rua (born 20 July 1977) is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. A New Zealand international representative forward, he played in the National Rugby League for the Melbourne Storm, winning the 1999 NRL Premiership with them. He attended High School at Kelston Boys High School and Waitākere College. Playing career Rua was a Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles junior in 1996 and played for the Junior Kiwis. Rua signed for the Melbourne Storm in 1998 and played for the Norths Devils in the Queensland Cup. Fernando de la Rúa (15 September 19379 July 2019) was an Argentine politician and a member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) political party who served as President of Argentina from 10 December 1999 to 21 December 2001. De la Rúa was born in Córdoba; he entered politics after graduating with a degree in law. He was elected senator in 1973 and unsuccessfully ran for the office of Vice President as Ricardo Balbín's running mate the same year. He was re-elected senator in 1983 and 1993, and as deputy in 1991. Rua (Clann Zú Album)
''Rua'' is the first full-length album by Irish- Australian band Clann Zú. The album contains themes of resistance and desperation. The songs are sung mainly in English, though there is some use of Irish. The production gives the songs a heavily layered sound, with prominent use of violin tracks and Declan de Barra's emotive voice. There is a video for the track "Five Thousand More" on the CD. Background Clann Zú were formed in Melbourne in 1999 and released their debut album, ''Rua'', with the line-up of Benjamin Andrews on electric guitar, Nathan Greaves on bass guitar, Declan de Barra on lead vocals and bodhrán, Russell Fawcus on electric violin and keyboards, and Lach Wooden as their engineer and providing sound manipulation. Antonio de la Rúa Pertiné (born 7 March 1974) is an Argentine lawyer, and the son of former president Fernando de la Rúa (who governed Argentina from 1999 to 2001) and Inés Pertiné. He was an advisor to his father during his father's presidency and one of the heads of his father's presidential campaign. Politics Though de la Rúa held no formal position in his father's government, he was the chief architect of his father's election campaign; his success led his father to continue to turn to him for political advice after his assumption of the presidency. Rua Van Horn (July 17, 1892 – March 8, 1978) was an American educator and home economist with the United States Office of Education from 1934 to 1963. Early life and education Rua Rae Van Horn was born on her family's ranch in North Loup, Nebraska, the daughter of Orel Van Horn and Carrie Elnora Babcock Van Horn. She graduated from high school in 1911, then from the Lewis Institute in Chicago, and earned a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. Career Van Horn taught school for ten years as a young woman, and was Montana state supervisor of home economics while she was teaching at Montana State University. She also taught in Oakland, California, and in a summer program at Colorado State College. She joined the United States Office of Education as a program specialist in home economics education in 1934.
