RSPlug
The RSPlug Trojan horse, a form of DNSChanger, is malware targeting the Mac OS X operating system. The first incarnation of the trojan, OSX.RSPlug.A, was discovered on October 30, 2007 by Mac security researchers at Intego. Variants Several variants of the RSPlug trojan were found primarily on pornographic sites disguised as video codecs, and some variants were spotted on sites offering game downloads. When OSX.RSPlug.A was installed, the system's DNS settings were changed to redirect web browsing to phishing web sites, or to web pages displaying ads for other pornographic web sites. There is also a version of the OSX.RSPlug Trojan which targets the Windows platform, and it was this version that led a technical manager at F-Secure to suggest that the group behind the DNS-changing Mac Trojan is the same group behind the Zlob trojan. Zlob Trojan
The Zlob Trojan, identified by some antiviruses as Trojan.Zlob, is a Trojan horse which masquerades as a required video codec in the form of ActiveX. It was first detected in late 2005, but only started gaining attention in mid-2006. Once installed, it displays popup ads which appear similar to real Microsoft Windows warning popups, informing the user that their computer is infected with spyware. Clicking these popups triggers the download of a fake anti-spyware program (such as Virus Heat and MS Antivirus (Antivirus 2009)) in which the Trojan horse is hidden. The Trojan has also been linked to downloading atnvrsinstall.exe which uses the Windows Security shield icon to look as if it is an anti-virus installation file from Microsoft. Having this file run can wreak havoc on computers and networks. One typical symptom is random computer shutdowns or reboots with random comments. Intego is a Mac and Windows security software company founded in 1997 by Jean-Paul Florencio and Laurent Marteau. Phishing

Mac Defender
Mac Defender (also known as Mac Protector, Mac Security, Mac Guard, Mac Shield, and FakeMacDef) is an internet rogue security program that targets computers running macOS. The Mac security firm Intego discovered the fake antivirus software on 2 May 2011, with a patch not being provided by Apple until 31 May. The software has been described as the first major malware threat to the Macintosh platform (although it does not attach to or damage any part of OS X). However, it is not the first Mac-specific Trojan, and is not self-propagating. A variant of the program, known as Mac Guard, has been reported which does not require the user to enter a password to install the program, although one still does have to run the installer.
