ROH World Television Champion
The ROH World Television Championship is a professional wrestling world television championship in the Ring of Honor (ROH) promotion. With the introduction of the ROH World Television Championship, the television type championship returned to national exposure. The current champion is Samoa Joe, who is in his first reign. History On January 20, 2010, the creation of the ROH World Television Championship was announced via ROH's official website. An eight-man single elimination tournament was then planned to determine the inaugural champion. The tournament was to start on February 4 and conclude on February 6 at The Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the tapings of ROH's television program ''Ring of Honor Wrestling''. Samoa Joe
Nuufolau Joel Seanoa (born March 17, 1979), is an American professional wrestler better known by the ring name Samoa Joe who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Joe is currently a double champion - in his first reign both as AEW TNT Champion, and as ROH World Television Champion in AEW's sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH), where he was inducted as part of the inaugural class in the ROH Hall of Fame. During his career, Joe has also worked for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA - now IMPACT Wrestling) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Everett Lawrence Titus (born September 15, 1987) is an American professional wrestler working for Ring of Honor (ROH). where he is a former ROH World Television Champion, an overall two-time ROH Tag Team Champion individually, as well as winning the now-defunct Top of the Class Trophy once. Raised in Lacey Township, New Jersey, Titus played prep football at Lacey Township High School, graduating in 2005. A student of the ROH Wrestling Academy, Titus had worked for various independent promotions early in his career before settling in at ROH. Best in the World 2011 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event by Ring of Honor (ROH) that took place on June 26, 2011. It was an afternoon show that began at 4pm and marked the return of ROH to the Hammerstein Ballroom for the first time since 2009. It was the eighth ROH event to be shown live on internet pay-per-view and is also the second Best in the World event with the first taking place in 2006. All three Ring of Honor championships were contested for in the evening, as well as a number of other matches that are part of storylines.
