ROAR! Rock of Angels Records is a Greek music label with a focus on hard rock and heavy metal bands. The company is headquartered in the Angelochori, Thermaikos district of Thessaloniki. Distribution of the productions is carried out by Soulfood Music Distribution.The label Rock of Angels Records is a registered trademark of Infinity Entertainment IKE. Company history The company was founded in 2012 by Akis Kosmidis – a fan of hard rock and heavy metal from his earliest youth. Initially, the company operated strictly as a music label under the name ROAR! Rock of Angels Records and focused on marketing young Greek bands from the heavy metal scene, which was particularly active at the time, while also licensing albums from more prominent bands – such as Stryper or Operation Mindcrime. Thermaikos
Thermaikos ( el, Θερμαϊκός) is a suburban municipality of the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. It consists of the municipal units Thermaikos, Epanomi and Michaniona. Fire Force or Fireforce is a variant of the military tactic of vertical envelopment of a target by helicopter-borne and parachute infantry developed by the Rhodesian Security Forces during the Rhodesian Bush War. Regiments involved included the Rhodesian Light Infantry or RLI, the Rhodesian African Rifles and the Rhodesian Special Air Service or SAS assisted by the Rhodesian Air Force. Mystic Prophecy
Mystic Prophecy is a power metal band from Bad Grönenbach, Germany. Their sound is described as hard and melodic, similar to American power metal bands such as Iced Earth, due to their melodic riffing and powerful drumming. History The band was formed in 2000 by Valley's Eve bandmates R.D. Liapakis and Martin Albrecht. Gus G was recommended to them by David T. Chastain and played all guitars on the three first albums, but left in 2005 in order to spend more time on his own band Firewind. Since then the band had several changes in its line-up with singer R.D. Liapakis and guitarist Markus Pohl who has joined the band in 2005, being the only long-time members. Overpower
OverPower is an out-of-print collectible card game produced by Fleer Corporation originally featuring characters from Marvel Comics and later from DC Comics and Image Comics. The game was initially launched in August 1995. In the game, two players went head-to-head with teams of four heroes and villains. Unlike most other collectible card games of the mid-1990s, OverPower was very distinct strategically and structurally different from Magic: The Gathering. Memorain
Memorain is a speed/groove/thrash metal band from Greece, formed by guitarist/vocalist Ilias Papadakis in 1999. History After a few lineup changes in 2001, the band recorded their first demo CD titled "Until You Die". Drawing influence mainly from the American Heavy/Thrash scene, the band contributed a song for the "Voices Of Death Part 5" compilation album and a few months later they paid tribute to one of their favorite bands, Megadeth, recording a cover version of the song "Disconnect" for the album ''Droogie – A Megadeth Tribute''. Sorrowful Angels
Sorrowful Angels is a Greek gothic metal band. Early days (1999–2002) Originally formed in 1999, the band soon started to land gigs in the Greek underground club scene presenting their initial atmospheric material and gradually making a name for themselves. Until 2002, they manage to land some more high-profile gigs, most notably the Chania Rock Festival in Crete where they shared the stage with Anathema, U.D.O., Crossover and Deviser. Enemy Inside
Enemy Inside is a German metal band formed in Aschaffenburg in 2017. Background The band was formed by singer Nastassja Giulia and guitar player Evan K (Mystic Prophecy, Exit Eden, ex- Cypecore) who have found their own sound, somewhere between dark rock and modern metal, through a wide range of musical experimentation. Their music strikes hard guitar riffs with melodic vocals and melodic guitar solos. In June 2018, Enemy Inside announced their debut album ''Phoenix'' to be released by ROAR in September 2018. Ashes Of Ares
Ashes of Ares is an American power metal band featuring ex-Iced Earth members Matt Barlow on vocals and Freddie Vidales on guitar. It previously included drummer Van Williams (formerly of the band Nevermore). History In June 2012, Barlow announced on his Facebook page the creation of a new band with former Iced Earth bassist Freddie Vidales and Nevermore drummer Van Williams. Later that year the band signed with Nuclear Blast Records and entered Morrisound studio and recorded their debut self-titled album. The album was released on September 6, 2013. The band went on tour around Europe with Powerwolf and Battle Beast in September/October 2013. On February 13, 2017, the band announced drummer Williams had left the band he co-founded.
