RK Metković
Rukometni klub Metković – Mehanika is a men's professional handball club from Metković, Croatia. It is the only club to win a domestic title and the Croatian Cup, except RK Zagreb. Due to economic difficulties the club has not competed in Croatian Handball Premier League between 2010 and 2022. The first club was founded on 26 September 1963 under the name Mehanika. RK Metković has changed its name several times since his foundation, so it played under the names of Razvitak, Metković Jambo, and another team Metković 1963 until reunification. Today, this club has men's and women's section. Accomplishments In 2000–01 season of the Croatian League, Metković and RK Zagreb tied for first place but RK Zagreb had home advantage in the finals which were not completed. Metković () is a town in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County of Croatia, located in the southeast of the country, on the banks of the river Neretva and on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Rolando Pušnik
Rolando Pušnik (born 13 December 1961) is a Slovenian former handball player. Club career Over the course of his career that spanned over 25 years, Pušnik played for Celje (two spells), Crvenka, Železničar Niš, Mepamsa San Antonio, Zagreb (two spells), Prevent Slovenj Gradec, Slovan, Metković, SG Handball West Wien, Trimo Trebnje, and Padova. He won back-to-back European Cup titles with Zagreb in 1992 and 1993. International career At international level, Pušnik competed for Yugoslavia in two Olympic Games, winning the gold medal in 1984 and the bronze medal in 1988. Renato Sulić
Renato Sulić (born 12 November 1979 in Rijeka) is a Croatian handball player who currently plays for RK Zamet. Club career Sulić started his youth career in RK Trsat where very quickly he showed a great capability in playing handball. Soon he moved to RK Zamet where he helped the team return to the First A League in 1995-96 season. The same year he was also a part of the winning Zamet team in the U-19 Championship. After four years in Zamet he became unhappy with his status in the club and left to Metković Jambo. He stayed in the club for only a year and won his first European competition EHF Cup and finishing second in the league. Sulić returned for a season to RK Zamet before going to play for RK Zagreb. Ivan Čupić
Ivan Čupić (born 27 March 1986) is a Croatian handball player who plays for RK Zagreb and the Croatia men's national handball team, Croatian national team. Career He was selected by the Croatia men's national handball team, Croatian national team for the 2009 World Men's Handball Championship. He scored 8 goals in the opening match against South Korea men's national handball team, South Korea, settling as the top scorer after the first day. He also played in the Croatian team that won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Čupić missed the 2008 Summer Olympics, Games of XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, after losing his left ring finger in bizarre accident in July 2008. Željko Babić (born 19 May 1972) is a Croatian retired handball player and current coach of RK Podravka Koprivnica. Playing career Babić had played for the following clubs: RK PIK Neretva Opuzen, Badel 1862 Zagreb, Razvitak Metković, Secchia and Pallamano Prato, and RK Jelsa. He retired from playing professional handball in 2006. Vladimir Jelčić
Vladimir Jelčić (born 10 October 1968) is a retired Croatian handball player. He is ex-assistant coach of RK Zagreb. He played for the Croatia national handball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where Croatia won the gold medal.
