RK Meghen
Rajkumar Meghen (born 21 September 1944) alias Sana Yaima (precious son) is a Manipuri separatist politician and former chairman of United National Liberation Front. Personal life Meghen is the second son of RK Madhuyarajit Singh & Laitonjam Ningol Hemabati, and the great grandson of Prince Tikhendrajit(however there is no significant evidence to proof the claim as Prince Tikendrajit died as a bachelor), the military commander for Manipur Kingdom in the Anglo Manipuri War. He graduated from St. Paul's Cathedral Mission College in Kolkata and went for his Master's degree from Jadavpur University in International Relations. Meghen has two sons; Chingkhei and Chinglen. The elder son Chingkhei works at Manipur University while second son Chinglen is unemployed, once work as distributor of Airtel owning a company name M/S Landmark in Thangmeiband but dissolved the company after he was accused to killing a journalist and his name came on charge-sheet of CBI. United National Liberation Front
The United National Liberation Front (UNLF), also known as the United National Liberation Front of Manipur, is a separatist insurgent group active in the state of Manipur in Northeast India which aims at establishing a sovereign and socialist Manipur. Indian Penal Code
The Indian Penal Code (IPC) is the official criminal code of India. It is a comprehensive code intended to cover all substantive aspects of criminal law. The code was drafted on the recommendations of first law commission of India established in 1834 under the Charter Act of 1833 under the chairmanship of Thomas Babington Macaulay. It came into force in British India during the early British Raj period in 1862. Guwahati Central Jail
Guwahati Central Jail is a prison located at the center of Guwahati city in Assam, India. It is one of 31 prisons located in the state of Assam. Spread over including of the actual jail area, it was constructed with a capacity for 900 male inmates and 100 female inmates, for a total of 1000 inmates. History The first jail in Guwahati was set up in 1881 at Fancy Bazaar with a capacity of 500 inmates. It was moved to Sarusajai on 30 April 2010 and was upgraded to the present capacity of 1000 inmates. The new jail was opened in April 2012 when 805 inmates were moved there. The district jail is located in the heart of Guwahati City. Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act
Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act is an Indian law aimed at prevention of unlawful activities associations in India. Its main objective was to make powers available for dealing with activities directed against the integrity and sovereignty of India. The most recent amendment of the law, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Act, 2019 (UAPA 2019) has made it possible for the Union Government to designate individuals as terrorists without following any formal judicial process. National Investigation Agency
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is the primary counter-terrorist task force of India. The agency is empowered to deal with the investigation of terror related crimes across states without special permission from the states under written proclamation from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Agency came into existence with the enactment of the National Investigation Agency Act 2008 by the Parliament of India on 31 December 2008, which was passed after the deadly 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai.
