RK Medveščak
Rukometni klub "Medveščak" is a handball club from Zagreb, Croatia. They are one of the more famous branches of the Medveščak sports society, named after the Medveščak neighbourhood of Zagreb. They play in the sports and recreational centre Šalata. Through history club was also known as Prvomajska, Coning Medveščak, Medveščak Osiguranje Zagreb, Medveščak Infosistem, Agram Medveščak and Medveščak NFD. Croatian Premier Handball League
The Croatian Handball Premier League ( hr, Hrvatska rukometna premijer liga) is the highest men's handball league in Croatia. It is organized by the Croatian Handball Federation (''Hrvatski rukometni savez''). The league comprises 16 teams. The league was formed in 1991 with the dissolution of the Yugoslav leagues. Format In the first phase, eight teams from two groups compete in a home-and-away round-robin series. All teams advance from the regular season to one of two postseason stages, depending on their league position. The top four teams from the regular season play in the Championship Round, while the bottom four teams play in the Relegation Round. At the end of the season, the bottom finisher is automatically relegated to the second league. Boris Jarak
Boris Jarak (born 19 April 1963) is a former Yugoslav/Croatian handball player who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics. In 1988 he was part of the Yugoslav team which won the bronze medal. He played two matches. In 1995 he was part of the Croatian team which won the silver medal. Mario Kelentrić
Mario Kelentrić (born 30 January 1973) is a Croatian former handball player who played as a goalkeeper, and is currently the goalkeeping coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. He has played for clubs in Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and France. He is noted as being one of the best goalkeepers of Croatia and he was also part of the golden generation witch won the 2003 World Championship in Portugal. Career In 1993 Kelentrić signed with RK Medveščak Zagreb. In his first season with the club he reached the final of the Croatian Cup. Tonči Valčić (born 9 June 1978) is a Croatian former professional handball player who currently works as an assistant coach of Croatian club RK Zagreb. He was a member of the Croatia national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Playing career Valčić began his career in Croatian powerhouse RK Zagreb where he has played for the majority of this career. Valčić played for three seasons in Germany for TV Grosswallstadt. He also played in Spain for CB Torrevieja and CB Ademar León before returning to Croatia. Mirko Bašić
Mirko Bašić (born 14 September 1960 in Bjelovar, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Croatian handball player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics and in the 1988 Summer Olympics. He has also played six EHF Champions League finals winning two in 1984–85 and 1985–86 as part of the famous RK Metaloplastika which dominated European handball in the 1980s (often referred to as ''Handball Aliens''). Nenad Kljaić (born 21 December 1966) is a Croatian former handball player and current coach of Greek club Serbia. Career Kljaić won two European Champions Cups as a player with RK Zagreb in 1992 and 1993. He also won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2000 with TV Grosswallstadt.
