RBC Pepinster
Royal Basketball Club Pepinster is a Belgian basketball club that is located in the Verviers-Pepinster area of Liège Province, Belgium. The club currently competes in the Belgian Fifth Division, the fifth tier of Belgian basketball. Before, the team used to be a regular participant of the Basketball League Belgium. The team club plays its home games at the 4,000 seat Hall du Paire. History Verviers-Pepinster was the runner-up of the Belgian League twice: in 2003 and 2014. The club also won the Belgian Cup in 1980, and the Belgian Supercup in 2003. On 29 June 2016, it was announced that the club would leave the Belgian League, due to a lack of budget. Pepinster ( or ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Pepinster had a total population of 9,560. The total area is 24.79 km2 which gives a population density of 386 inhabitants per km2. Pepinster is situated at the confluence of the rivers Hoëgne and Vesdre. Early life Naser Trajković ( sr-cyr, Насер Трајковић) was born in Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. Later he changed his first name to Nenad. Coaching career Trajković started his coaching career as an assistant coach for Partizan, where he had three stints from 1987 to 1995. Ivica Skelin (born 19 September 1973) is a Croatian professional basketball coach who is the current head coach for Telenet Giants Antwerp of the BNXT League. Coaching career Early years Skelin started his club coaching career with Verviers-Pepinster in Belgium as an assistant coach in 2001, at which position he served until 2004, after that he coached youth teams for the Belgian club.
