RAF Fearn
Royal Naval Air Station Fearn or RNAS Fearn (HMS Owl) is a former Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm base located southeast of Tain, Scottish Highlands and northeast of Inverness, Scottish Highlands, Scotland. The Tower has now been converted to residential use. See '' Restoration Man'' George Clarke. Units A number of units were here at some point: Current use The site is currently used as farmland. On the southeast edge, a new, separate, aerodrome has been created by the name of "Easter Airfield". The control tower is now a private residence owned. It was in a 2015 episode of Channel 4's ''The Restoration Man''. A lot of the original buildings on the other side of the camp are derelict and only have trash from fly-tipping, crows and bugs in them. Fearn, Highland
Fearn ( gd, Manachainn Rois) is a hamlet, situated south of Loch Eye and northwest of Balintore, in eastern Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland. The buildings in the hamlet are mostly cottages with walls constructed of boulders and clay. Fearn Abbey was erected in the hamlet in 1238 by Farquhar, first Earl of Ross, and rebuilt in 1771 after its roof collapsed in 1742. 814 Naval Air Squadron or 814 NAS, nicknamed the Flying Tigers, is a squadron of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. It is currently equipped with the AgustaWestland Merlin HM2 anti-submarine warfare helicopter and is based at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose in Cornwall. The squadron was formed in December 1938 and has been disbanded and reformed several times.
