RAB Racing
RAB Racing with Brack Maggard was an American professional stock car racing team that attempted NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Camping World Truck Series and the ARCA Racing Series. The team was co-owned by Robert A. Benton Sr. and his son Robert Benton Jr. along with Georgia businessman Brack Maggard and ran from 2005 through 2014. The team won one race in the Xfinity Series, but never qualified for a Cup Series race in eight attempts. Kenny Wallace drove the most Xfinity races for the team with 57 starts, while Boris Said scored the team's only Xfinity win in 2010. Sprint Cup Series Car No. 29 history RAB Racing entered the No. 09 Cup car for Kenny Wallace in the 2012 Daytona 500 with sponsorship from American Ethanol. Robby Benton
Robert A. Benton Jr. (born June 28, 1979) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Busch, Truck and East Series as well as the ARCA Re/Max Series. He currently works as the team manager for Team Penske's NASCAR teams. Before starting in that position in January 2018, he was the owner of NASCAR team RAB Racing and Change Racing, a team in the IMSA sports car series. Racing career Team owner career Benton's first dip into team ownership came in the early part of his career, when he fielded cars for himself when he competed in a No. 82 Ford in the ARCA Re/Max Series in 2000. 2010 ARCA Racing Series
The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by Re/MAX and Menards was the 58th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 6 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 9 with the American 200 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. Patrick Sheltra of Sheltra Motorsports won the season championship. This season was notable for the season-opening race, the 2010 Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona, which had the largest audience of any ARCA event in the history of the series with 2.4 million viewers tuning in on the Speed Channel. The high viewership was due to the fact that Danica Patrick was competing in the event, which was her first stock car start as part of her move from the IndyCar Series to NASCAR. 2015 Daytona 500
The 2015 Daytona 500, the 57th running of the event, was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race which was held on February 22, 2015 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Contested over 203 laps – extended from 200 laps due to a green–white–checker finish – on the asphalt superspeedway, it was the first race of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Joey Logano won the race, recording the second Daytona 500 win for Team Penske, and his ninth career Sprint Cup victory. Kevin Harvick finished second while Dale Earnhardt Jr., Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top–five. Jeff Gordon won the pole for his 23rd and final career start in the Daytona 500. The 2014 GEICO 500 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on October 19, 2014, at Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. Contested over 188 laps on the 2.66-mile (4.28 km) super speedway, it was the 32nd race of the 2014 Sprint Cup Series season, as well as the sixth race of ten in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Brad Keselowski held off hard charges from Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth and Landon Cassill to score his sixth win of the season. Matt Crafton
Matthew Justin Crafton (born June 11, 1976) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He is a three-time champion of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (2013, 2014, 2019), in which he competes full-time, driving the No. 88 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing. Early career Crafton was born in Tulare, California. Before turning to NASCAR racing in 2000, he raced go-karts, midgets, and mini sprints. Crafton began his go-kart career at the age of seven after receiving a kart as a present for graduating from kindergarten. He won multiple national and regional championships before moving to midgets at the age of 15, winning twenty main events. Joe Nemechek
Joseph Frank Nemechek III (born September 26, 1963) is an American professional stock car racing driver who last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 24 Toyota Supra for Sam Hunt Racing. Nemechek has made the second most national series starts in NASCAR history. He claimed the record in 2019 after he passed seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty, but was surpassed by Kevin Harvick in 2021. Nemechek won the 1992 NASCAR Busch Series championship. He is the older brother of the late John Nemechek, who died in a crash in the Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 1997. The 2012 Daytona 500 was the first stock car race of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Boris Said III (born September 18, 1962) is an American semi-retired professional racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 66 Ford Mustang for MBM Motorsports and in the Trans-Am Series, driving the No. 2 Dodge for Weaver Technologies Racing. Said has competed in a variety of disciplines including sports cars, stock cars, and touring cars.
