The R613 road is a Regional road (Ireland), regional road in Republic of Ireland, Ireland which runs west-east from the R589 road (Ireland), R589 in Halfway, County Cork, Halfway to the N28 road (Ireland), N28 in the centre of Ringaskiddy. The road forms a vital part of the road network south of Cork City. Part of the road between Halfway, County Cork, Halfway and Ballinhassig was formerly part of the N71 road, N71 until this part was replaced by a new section in the 1990s. The route is long. N28 Road (Ireland)
The N28 road is a national primary road in Ireland. It connects the port and village of Ringaskiddy to the N40 South Ring Road in Cork city. The road begins at the Bloomfield Interchange on the N40 South Ring Road in Rochestown. It runs southwards as ''Carr’s Hill'' towards Carrigaline, leaving Cork at the L6467 junction, where it becomes ''Cork Road''. North of Carrigaline, the route passes through the Shannonpark Roundabout and proceeds east through the village of Shanbally to Ringaskiddy. Prior to the completion of the ''South Ring'', the N28 formed the route from the Bandon Road interchange through the Kinsale Road interchange to where it leaves the N40. As of 2021, 11 km of motorway was planned on the N28 between Cork and Ringaskiddy, with a final 1.5 km of single carriageway. A national secondary road ( ga, Bóthar Náisiúnta den Dara Grád) is a category of road in Ireland. These roads form an important part of the national route network but are secondary to the main arterial routes which are classified as national primary roads. National secondary roads are designated with route numbers higher than those used for primary roads, but with the same "N" prefix. Routes N51 and higher are all national secondary roads. Halfway, County Cork
Halfway () is a village in County Cork, in Ireland. Halfway got its name from being situated approximately halfway between Cork City and Bandon. Halfway is situated on the L2231, just off the N71, close to the neighbouring village of Ballinhassig. Ballinhassig Garda station is located in Halfway. Halfway formerly had two pubs; however, there is now only the Ramble Inn pub. There is also an angling shop. The annual Halfway Vintage Rally, a meeting of vintage car owners and enthusiasts, takes place over one weekend in September.
