R564 (South Africa)
The R564 is a Regional Route in Gauteng, South Africa. Its entire length is now within the metropolis of Johannesburg, connecting Roodepoort with Buccleuch. Route Its south-western end is a junction with the R41 in Roodepoort, at the southern part of the Florida suburb. It goes northwards through Florida as Westlake Road, meeting the R24 (Albertina SIsulu Road) at the next junction and bypassing Florida Lake, to reach a junction with Clarendon Drive, where it becomes Clarendon Drive westwards. At the next junction, it becomes Christiaan De Wet Drive northwards. It runs north as Christiaan De Wet Drive, meeting the M18 just after Florida Park (west of Constantia Kloof) and meeting the M86 at Kloofendal, to form an interchange with the M47 (Hendrik Potgieter Drive) at Allen's Nek. Roodepoort
Roodepoort is a town in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Formerly an independent municipality, Roodepoort became part of the Johannesburg municipality in the late 1990s, along with Randburg and Sandton. Johannesburg's most famous botanical garden, Witwatersrand National Botanical Gardens (now renamed Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden), is located in Roodepoort. History In 1884, brothers Fred and Harry Struben, having discovered gold on the farm Wilgespruit at the western end of the Witwatersrand, were granted concessions to mine the area. The M47 is a short metropolitan route in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa It connects the N14 at Cradlestone Mall with the M18 at Maraisburg in Roodepoort. It consists of only one street, named Hendrick Potgieter Road. Route The M47 begins at a 4-way-junction with the N14 National Route and the R28 Road north-east of Krugersdorp in the Mogale City Local Municipality, adjacent to Cradlestone Mall (south-west of Muldersdrift). It begins by going south-eastwards as Hendrick Potgieter Road to enter the city of Roodepoort in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Ticketpro Dome
The WeBuyCars Dome, previously known as the Ticketpro Dome is an indoor arena and car showroom located in Johannesburg, South Africa. The showroom accommodates over 1,000 vehicles and covers about 11,000 square metres. The Dome opened on 8 April 1998 with a concert by Diana Ross in front of a 15,000 strong audience. Malibongwe Drive, formerly known as Hans Strijdom Drive ( af, Hans Strijdom-rylaan), is a major road that runs through an industrial area in the northwest of Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects Randburg with Northgate and Lanseria International Airport. ''Malibongwe'' is said to mean "be praised" or blessed and which the Johannesburg Development Agency says refers to the 1956 Women's March, a woman's march against the carrying of passes. Hans Strijdom Drive, as well as another major Randburg road, Hendrik Verwoerd Drive, were renamed due to their strong ties to Apartheid. Despite the most popular suggestion for the new name being Nelson Mandela Drive, and Nkululeko Drive emerging as the chosen replacement, Hans Strijdom Drive was renamed Malibongwe Drive at the end of September 2007. The R512 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Brits, North West with Randburg, Gauteng (north of Johannesburg) via the western side of Hartbeespoort. It is an alternative route to the R511 for travel between the Johannesburg Metropole and Brits. Route North West Its northern origin is Brits, North West at an intersection with the R511 as Van Velden Street, becoming Rutgers Street, in a southerly direction. Just south of Brits, the R512 meets the R566 Road from Ga-Rankuwa. The R512 continues southwards to meet the N4 Highway (Platinum Highway). M5 is a long metropolitan route in the Greater Johannesburg metropolitan area in South Africa. It starts in Ridgeway in the southern suburbs of Johannesburg. It passes through Mayfair and Brixton before travelling through Melville, Roosevelt Park, Northcliff, Blackheath and traversing the N1 Western Bypass at Randpark Ridge. Sandton
Sandton is an upscale commercial and residential district north of the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. It forms part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The name of the city came from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston. In 1969, Sandton was promulgated as a municipality in its own right, but lost its status as an independent city after the re-organisation of South African local governments after Apartheid ended.
