Route Gauteng The R50 begins in Pretoria, Tshwane (Administrative Capital of South Africa) near the suburbs of Erasmusrand and Waterkloof Ridge, at an intersection with the N1 Danie Joubert Freeway ( Pretoria Eastern Bypass). North of the freeway, it is designated as the M9 Metropolitan Route and named Rigel Avenue. Route The R23 begins at the suburb of Birchleigh in the city of Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng at an intersection with the M57 Municipal Route (just south of the M57 Route's intersection with the R25). Blesbokspruit
The Blesbokspruit is a river in South Africa that originates north of Daveyton, Gauteng, from where it runs south and then west past the towns of Springs, Nigel and Heidelberg before joining the Suikerbosrand River, a tributary of the Vaal River. The Marievale Bird Sanctuary is situated in its upper reaches, established when roads and pipelines reached nearby mines in 1930. An area of 1,848 hectares has been declared a Ramsar site to guard against industrial pollution of the wetland, and has been designated as an Important Bird Area. Route Its western terminus is a junction with the R82 and R554 roads in Johannesburg South, just south of Kibler Park and north of Walkerville (east of Lenasia). The R51 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Bapsfontein with the N3 north of Villiers, via Springs, Nigel and Balfour. Marievale Bird Sanctuary is a protected area in Gauteng, South Africa. It is about 15 km2 in size, and situated on the East Rand on the southern half of the Blesbokspruit wetland, a Ramsar site. The Blesbokspruit is a major perennial river in Gauteng which is flanked by extensive floodplains on either side. Nearby is the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve.
