R201 Railway (Croatia)
The Zaprešić–Čakovec railway, officially designated as the R201 railway, is a railway line in northwest Croatia that connects the towns of Zaprešić and Čakovec, opened in 1886 in former Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia. It is partially electrified single-tracked railway. The section between Zaprešić and Zabok is also a branch part of Pan-European Corridor X. Most of the corridor passes through Hrvatsko Zagorje region, connecting the largest part of Međimurje and Hrvatsko Zagorje with Zagreb, spanning through four counties. The line separates at the Zaprešić station from the M101 railway. Before 2021, the line was non-electrified. The R201 railway also connects to the R106 line (towards Krapina, Đurmanec and Croatia-Slovenia state border) in Zabok, to the L202 line at Hum Lug, the L201 and R202 lines in Varaždin and the M501 and L101 lines in Čakovec. Zabok
Zabok is a town and situated in northwest Croatia in the Krapina-Zagorje County. According to the 2011 census, it has a total population of 8,994, with 2,714 in Zabok itself. Zabok is situated on the main crossroads in the heart of Hrvatsko Zagorje region. Zabok is the economical centre of the Krapina-Zagorje County. History In 1782, Sigismund Vojković-Vojkffy started the construction of a church in Zabok, completing it in 1805. With the abolition of the feudalism, former serfs were offered a possibility of choosing their own place of settlement, and the majority settled along the roads connecting Gredice and Bračak with the new centre developing around the church, to form the new city centre. The town reached its final shape in the period after World War II, when it spread longitudinally along the northern side of the railway track. L202 Railway (Croatia)
The Hum Lug-Gornja Stubica railway, officially designated as the L202 railway, is a 10.823 km (6.725 mi) railway line of local significance in Croatia that connects corridor's east terminus Gornja Stubica, along with the halts Donja Stubica, Stubičke Toplice and Oroslavje, with the R201 railway corridor (Zaprešić-Čakovec) in Hum Lug. The line, opened in 1916 in former Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia (present-day Croatia), is single-tracked and non-electrified. Trains that operate on this line have their roughly 15 minutes run between stations Gornja Stubica and Zabok, using the corridor R201 for about 2 kilometers between Hum Lug and Zabok, where connections with the trains running on R201 and R106 (Zabok-Krapina- Đurmanec-state border) corridors are made. A2 (Croatia)
The A2 motorway ( hr, Autocesta A2) is a motorway in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region of northern Croatia, connecting Zagreb to the Macelj border crossing and Slovenia. The A2 motorway is part of the European route E59 and the Pan-European Corridor Xa. The motorway spans between the Slovenian border and the Jankomir interchange within the Zagreb bypass, providing road connections to a number of cities and towns besides Zagreb, including Krapina, Zabok and Zaprešić. All sections of the motorway, except the northernmost one between the Macelj border crossing and Trakošćan, and the southernmost one near Zagreb, are tolled, using a closed toll collection system.
