Ryan Jones
Ryan Paul Jones (born 13 March 1981) is a Wales former international rugby union player who played at number eight, blindside flanker or second row. He was involved in three Grand Slam wins, in 2005, as captain in 2008, and 2012. He is one of a small group of Welsh players to have won three Grand Slams including Gerald Davies, Gareth Edwards, JPR Williams, Adam Jones, Gethin Jenkins and Alun Wyn Jones. Early life Jones was born in Newport, and played junior football for Bristol City as a goalkeeper until the age of 14. He took up rugby union at age 17 to be with his friends at Risca RFC. Ryan Jones studied at UWIC, noCardiff Metropolitan Universitygaining a BSc (Hons) from 1999 to 2002. He played over a hundred games for UWIC RFC and captained the firsts in his final year. Ryan Jones (born 2 April 1992) is an English footballer who plays a goalkeeper. Career After several stints with Rochdale, Telford United and Northwich Victoria, Jones signed with USL Pro club Richmond Kickers, making him the youngest player in club history. On 14 August 2011, Jones made his debut for Richmond in a 0-0 draw on the road against Los Angeles Blues. On 12 January 2012, he signed for North West Counties Premier Division side Bacup Borough on loan. He made his debut for the club nine days later in a 1–0 loss to Stone Dominoes. He later played for Bootle in the same season. He was released by Richmond in August 2013 to allow him to return to England. Ryan Mark Jones (born 23 May 2002) is an English footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Aldershot Town. Career Jones broke through at Weston-super-Mare during the 2019–20 season, being named on the bench for a large proportion of fixtures. On 26 October 2019, Jones scored his first senior goal in a 3–2 FA Trophy defeat to AFC Totton. His goal in the 6th minute of extra time gave his side a 2–1 lead before Totton responded twice to win the match and progress. His first league goal came in February 2020 with the fifth goal in a 5–0 thrashing of Wimborne Town.
