In American football, blocking or interference (or running interference) involves legal movements in which one player uses his body to obstruct another player's path. The purpose of blocking is to prevent defensive players from tackling the ball carrier, or to protect a quarterback who is attempting to pass, hand off or run the ball. Phillip John Costa (born 24 July 1949) is an Australian politician. He was a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 2007 until 2011, representing the electorate of Wollondilly. Kevin Dorsey
Kevin Dorsey (born February 23, 1990) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for the University of Maryland, and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Early years Dorsey was born in Prince George's County, Maryland and attended Forestville Military Academy outside of Washington, D.C. During his time at the academy, he played a number of positions including quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback, and safety. During his junior year, he had 1,025 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns; he finished with four interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. He continued to improve during his senior year, being a key contributor to the team as they advanced to the Division 1A South Region playoffs. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Phil Loadholt
Philip Loadholt Jr. (born January 21, 1986) is a former American football offensive tackle. He played college football at Oklahoma, and played for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2009 until his retirement in 2015. High school career Loadholt attended Fountain Middle School and Fountain-Fort Carson High School in Fountain, Colorado, where he was a two-way lineman, team captain and a two-time All-State selection. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense.
