Kigali International Airport , formerly known as Kanombe International Airport, is the primary airport serving Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Currently, there is an ongoing project to build another mega-airport in Bugesera District, Eastern Province, which will be the biggest and the main air gateway for all destinations in the country, in addition to serving as a transit airport for Goma and Bukavu in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Yvonne Manzi Makolo Andrew is a Rwandan IT specialist and , who serves as the managing director and chief executive officer of Rwandair, the national airline of Rwanda. She was appointed to that position on 6 April 2018. Prior to that, she served as the Deputy CEO responsible for corporate affairs at the same airline, from April 2017 until April 2018. Kotoka International Airport is an international airport in Accra, the capital of Ghana. The airport is operated by Ghana Airports Company Limited, Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), which has its offices on the airport property. It is the sole international airport in Ghana. In 2019, the airport served a record 3 million passengers, although this reduced to 2.1 million in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
