Aarno Ruusuvuori
Aarno Emil Ruusuvuori (14 January 1925, Kuopio – 22 February 1992, Helsinki) was a Finnish architect, professor and director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture. He studied at Helsinki University of Technology, completing his studies in 1951. Aarno Ruusuvuori was one of the central architects in Finland during the 1960s, well known for designing modern buildings, often using exposed concrete, often in a Brutalist style. His best-known works are the Weilin & Göös Print Works in Espoo (1964–66) and the Hyvinkää Church (1961). Ruusuvuori courted much controversy during the early 1970s with his ambitious plans for the modernisation of the Helsinki City Hall in the very centre of Helsinki. The City Hall takes up an entire city block, consisting mostly of several buildings built in the neo-classical style, including buildings designed by C.L. Engel. Emil Ruusuvuori (; born 2 April 1999) is a Finnish professional tennis player. He reached a career high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of World No. 41 on 31 October 2022. He is currently the No. 1 Finnish singles tennis player. He has a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 179 achieved on 2 May 2022. As a junior, Ruusuvuori was ranked as high as World No. 4 in the International Tennis Federation, ITF combined junior rankings. In 2017, he reached the singles quarterfinals of the 2017 Australian Open – Boys' singles, Australian Open boys' singles, the singles semifinals of the 2017 US Open – Boys' singles, US Open boys' singles, and won the ITF Junior Masters. Juha Ensio Ruusuvuori (born 16 July 1957) is a Finnish freelance writer. He was born in Oulu, and graduated to Master of Arts from the university of Tampere in 1987. He has worked as photographer in the news paper Kaleva (news paper), Kaleva, editor in TV-news of Yleisradio and in radio news and as publication editor in Banana Press Oy.
