The Russian Open Golf Championship (Senior) was a men's golf tournament on the European Senior Tour. It was first held in 2008, as the Russian Seniors Open, at the Pestovo Golf and Yacht Club. In 2013, after a four-year gap, it moved to Moscow Country Club, Nakhabino. It was played in 2013 and 2014 and then revived in 2018. Nakhabino
Nakhabino (russian: Нахабино) is an types of inhabited localities in Russia, urban locality (a urban-type settlement, work settlement) in Krasnogorsky District, Moscow Oblast, Krasnogorsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is the largest settlement in Russia which does not have city or town status. Population: History Nakhabino was first mentioned as a village in 1482 when the Pleshcheev boyar family owned it. In 1534, the village was sold to the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. The name Nakhabino was named in reference to the river Nakhabinka. Rick Gibson (golfer)
Rick Gibson (born October 27, 1961) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays primarily in Asia. Early life Gibson was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He played college golf at Brigham Young University, where he was an All-American in 1984. Professional career Gibson played on the Canadian Tour after turning professional in 1984. Ángel Franco (born 31 May 1958) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. His brother is golfer Carlos Franco. Franco was born in Asunción and turned pro in 1974. He won the South American Tour Order of Merit in 1991. In 2007, he was second at the Carlos Franco Invitational, and won the same tournament in 2012 in a playoff against younger brother Ramon. Ian Woosnam
Ian Harold Woosnam (born 2 March 1958) is a Welsh professional golfer. Nicknamed 'Woosie', Woosnam was one of the "Big Five" generation of European golfers, all born within 12 months of one another, all of whom have won majors, and made Europe competitive in the Ryder Cup. His peers in this group were Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, and Sandy Lyle. Woosnam's major championship win was at the 1991 Masters Tournament. Michael Geoffrey Harwood (born 8 January 1959) is an Australian professional golfer. Harwood was born in Sydney. He turned professional in 1979 and has extensive experience on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the European Tour. His first Australian title was the 1986 Australian PGA Championship. Carl Mason
Stuart Carl Mason (born 25 June 1953) is an English professional golfer. Mason was born in Buxton, Derbyshire. He won several amateur tournaments before turning professional and becoming something of a journeyman on the European Tour. After twenty years of trying he finally won on tour for the first time in 1994. His biggest successes, however, came after turning 50. He picked up 25 tournament victories on the European Senior Tour and headed the Order of Merit three times, becoming the leading career money winner on the tour.
