Russell Madden (Australian Rules Footballer)
Russell Monteith Madden (4 June 1910 – 18 July 1966) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong and Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Madden played with Sandringham in the VFL from 1936 until midway through 1938, when he was cleared to Mangoplah Football Club in June 1938. Traralgon ( ) is a town located in the east of the Latrobe Valley in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia and the most populous city of the City of Latrobe. The urban population of Traralgon at the was 26,907. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground.
