Ada Sophia Rundell
Ada Sophia Rundell (1 January 1876 - 1936), was an Australian physiotherapist who before the First World War promoted the use of physiotherapy by the military, and who subsequently served with the Australian Imperial Force in France and England during the conflict. Early life and education Ada Sophia Rundell was born on 1 January 1876 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, to William Reeve Rundell and his wife Agnes. Career She gained the Australasian Massage Association's qualification. Personal and family In 1921 she married a soldier 12 years elder to her and who was suffering from tuberculosis. He died two years later. Death Rundell died in Wynnum, a suburb of Brisbane, in 1963. Her life was selected to be part of the East Melbourne Historical Society's Great War project. Joel Rundell (September 26, 1965 – August 8, 1990) was an American musician best known as one of the four original members and lead guitarist of the Louisiana-based alternative rock band Better Than Ezra. He and the other original members formed the group while attending Louisiana State University. Rundell died by suicide on August 8, 1990, nearly a year after the release of the band's first album, '' Surprise''. She is the author of ''Rooftoppers'', which in 2015 won both the overall Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award for Best Story, and was short-listed for the Carnegie Medal. Maria Rundell
Maria Eliza Rundell (née Ketelby; 1745 – 16 December 1828) was an English writer. Little is known about most of her life, but in 1805, when she was over 60, she sent an unedited collection of recipes and household advice to John Murray, of whose family—owners of the John Murray publishing house—she was a friend. She asked for, and expected, no payment or royalties. Murray published the work, ''A New System of Domestic Cookery'', in November 1805. It was a huge success and several editions followed; the book sold around half a million copies in Rundell's lifetime. The book was aimed at middle-class housewives. In addition to dealing with food preparation, it offers advice on medical remedies and how to set up a home brewery and includes a section entitled "Directions to Servants". William Rundell
William Reeve Rundell, sometimes Reeves, (10 July 1848 – 6 or 8 March 1936) was an Australian postal officer. He was born in England but emigrated to Australia with his family while still a child. He obtained employment in the Victorian post office and was promoted to senior posts in Melbourne where he was in charge of post office records. He was also a philatelist, specialising in the stamps of Australia and the Postage stamps and postal history of Victoria, State of Victoria. He was a founder member and president of the Philatelic Society of Victoria and a life member of Sydney Philatelic Club. He signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1924. Rundell Renold Winchester (born 16 December 1993) is a Trinidadian professional footballer who plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Rayyan, where he plays as a forward. Winchester began his football career in 2011, at the age of 17, with semi-professional club Stokely Vale in his native Trinidad and Tobago. Rundell & Bridge were a London firm of jewellers and goldsmiths formed by Philip Rundell (1746–1827) and John Bridge (baptized 1755–1834). History When Edmond Walter Rundell, nephew of Philip Rundell, was admitted as a partner in 1804, the firm's name changed to Rundell, Bridge & Rundell. That same year John Gawler Bridge, nephew of John Bridge also joined the firm. Following John Bridge's death in 1834 a new partnership was formed comprising John Gawler Bridge, Thomas Bigge, John Bridge's nephews and Bigge's son, and the firm changed its name to Rundell, Bridge & Co.
