The women's rugby sevens tournament at the 2019 Pacific Games was held in Lotopa, Samoa. It was hosted at the St Joseph's Sports Field from 12 to 13 July 2019. Fiji won the gold medal with a 19-5 victory over Australia in the final. The Women's rugby sevens tournament at the 2015 Pacific Games was held in Port Moresby from 8 to 10 July 2015 at the Sir John Guise Stadium. Fiji won the gold medal defeating Australia by 12–10 in the final. Hosts PNG took the bronze medal defeating New Caledonia 15–0. The women's rugby sevens tournament at the 2023 Pacific Games was held in the Solomon Islands at the National Stadium. The tournament was played over three days from 23 to 25 November 2023. 2019 Pacific Games
The 2019 Pacific Games was the sixteenth edition of the Pacific Games. The Games were held in Apia, Samoa, returning there for the first time since 2007. It was the third time overall that the Pacific Games were held in Samoa. The event was initially awarded to Nukuʻalofa, Tonga, but the Tongan government officially withdrew from hosting it in May 2017, amid concerns the country could face economic difficulties if it proceeded. These Games included an additional discipline for basketball, which is the 3x3 format, as well as the return of archery and badminton which were not on the 2015 Pacific Games program. Host selection First bidding process In mid 2012, two cities were confirmed as serious bidders in hosting the 2019 Pacific Games. Fiji Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments. They have won three Pacific Games gold medals, two Oceania Championships, a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics. They also compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cup Sevens. History Fiji won the gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Nouméa, New Caledonia.
