Rudy Doliscat
Rudy Doliscat (born November 16, 1967, in Port-au-Prince, Haïti) is a former professional Canadian soccer defender. Club career Doliscat made his pro debut in the Canadian Soccer League with the Montreal Supra. After the team folded he joined the Montreal Impact. He was a member of the Impact's inaugural edition in 1993, where he played 20 games. He was the first Impact player to commit a foul in club history on May 14, 1993, against Los Angeles Salsa. In 1994, he was part of the team's starting eleven when the Impact beat the Colorado Foxes 1–0 in the playoff final and won the League Championship. He was the championship MVP. In 1996, he was one of the five defenders to take part in at least 20 games and help Montreal post the best defence in the league with 18 goals allowed in 27 games, a club record at the time. American Professional Soccer League
The American Professional Soccer League (APSL) was a professional men's soccer league with teams from the United States and later Canada. It was formed in 1990 by the merger of the third American Soccer League with the Western Soccer League. It was the first outdoor soccer league to feature teams from throughout the United States since the demise of the North American Soccer League in 1984. The league was sanctioned as Division II in the United States soccer league system but was the country's ''de facto'' top professional soccer league until 1995. In 1993, the APSL applied for the vacant Division I role but lost out to Major League Soccer who would begin play in 1996. For its final two seasons in 1995 and 1996, the APSL changed its name to the A-League. It was subsequently absorbed by the emerging USISL organization with six of seven clubs joining the new USISL A-League in 1997. Quebec Soccer Federation
Soccer Quebec (formerly (french: Fédération Québécoise de Soccer FQS) or the Quebec Soccer Federation (QSF)) is the governing body for soccer in the Canadian province of Quebec. The QSF is one of thirteen provincial and territorial federations members of the Canadian Soccer Association. It is headquartered in Laval. This federation was founded in 1911 and adopted its current name in 2000. On June 10, 2013, the Canadian Soccer Association suspended the Quebec Soccer Federation over its refusal to let turban-wearing children play. Quebec's premier Pauline Marois announced her support of the Quebec Soccer Federation's ban and suggested that the CSF has no authority over provincial organizations.
