Rubens Francisco Luchetti
Rubens Francisco Lucchetti (born 29 January 1930, in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro), better known as R. F. Lucchetti, is a Brazilian fiction writer, illustrator, writer and scripts for films, comic books and photo comics. Luchetti wrote more than 30 books under his name and over 1500 crime and horror fiction works under several pen names. He also wrote screenplays for films directed by José Mojica Marins and Ivan Cardoso. Santa Rita do Passa Quatro is a municipality in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo in Brazil. Elevation is . The population is 27,600 (2020 estimate) in an area of . Nico Rosso
Nicolas Rosso (Turin, July 19, 1910 - São Paulo, October 1st, 1981) was an Italian-Brazilian comic artist. Born in Italy, he studied with the masters Giacomo Grosso and Giovanni Reduzzi. He also taught Illustration and Costume History at the Bernard Semeriz School of Graphic Arts. He married Tina Billi in 1937 and had two children: Gianluigi Rosso and Valeria Rosso. He lost almost all of his possessions during World War II, moving to Brazil in 1947 (his family arrived the following year). In São Paulo, he started working in the Arts Department of Editora Brasilgráfica. After that, he became a freelance illustrator, drawing covers and comics for several publishers. Rosso has worked with all comic book genres, but his main works were in the horror genre, including the Coffin Joe comics. He was also a professor at the Escola Panamericana de Artes, which he co-founded. He retired in 1976 for health reasons and died in 1981 after suffering three heart attacks. Flavio Colin (Rio de Janeiro, June 22, 1930 - Rio de Janeiro, August 13, 2002) was a Brazilian comic artist and illustrator, considered one of the most important comic artists in Brazil. He began his career in the 1950s with an adaptation for the comic book radio series ''As Aventuras do Anjo'', influenced by Milton Caniff, but began to gain prominence with the development of his own stylized artist style. Julio Shimamoto
Julio Yoshinobu Shimamoto (born Borborema, May 13th, 1939), better known as Julio Shimamoto or Shima, is a Brazilian comic artist of Japanese descent. He started his career in the 1950s in the superhero comic book ''Capitão 7''. He has worked in almost all comic book publishers in Brazil in 1960s and 1970s, such as La Selva, Taika, Outubro, Ebal, Vecchi, Grafipar, Abril, among many others. His main works are ''Musashi I'' and ''Musashi II'' (2003), about the samurai Miyamoto Musashi, and ''Subs'' (2006). One of the main themes of his comics is the samurai (in fact, Shimamoto claims to be descended from samurai), having made the first story on the subject in Brazil: ''Os Fantasmas do Rincão Maldito'', published in 1961. Rodolfo Zalla
Rodolfo Zalla (Buenos Aires, July 20, 1931 - São Paulo, June 19th, 2016) was an Argentine comics artist. He started drawing comics while still in Argentina in 1953, but his career gained prominence after moving to Brazil with fellow comic artist José Delbo in 1963. He started producing comic strips of characters such as Targo, O Vingador and O Escorpião.
