Ruben Van Bommel
Ruben van Bommel (born 3 August 2004) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a winger for Eerste Divisie club MVV. Career Van Bommel progressed through the PSV academy, before moving to MVV in 2020. He made his debut in the Eerste Divisie on 8 August 2022 away at Jong AZ appearing as a second-half substitute for Koen Kostons. His brother Thomas van Bommel started the game and they were playing alongside each other for 20 minutes until Thomas was subbed off late in the second half. On his first appearance at Maastricht's home ground De Geusselt, a week after his professional debut, van Bommel scored his first professional goal in a 3–1 win against NAC Breda. Van Bommel received some notoriety in September 2022 when he was one of two players, along with Jaymillio Pinas in a match between MVV and Dordrecht who were booked for diving inside a minute of each other. Meerssen (; li, Meersje ) is a town and a municipality in southeastern Netherlands. History The Treaty of Meerssen was signed in Meerssen in 870. Thijs Jansen (born 29 November 2001) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for TOP Oss on loan from Feyenoord. Early career Born in Lisserbroek, Jansen played initially as an outfield player as a youngster at FC Lisse and played in the academy at Feyenoord from the age of twelve. Bert Van Marwijk
Lambertus van Marwijk (; born 19 May 1952) is a Dutch football manager who was recently the head coach of the United Arab Emirates national team. As a player, he played for the Go Ahead Eagles, AZ, MVV and Fortuna Sittard amongst other clubs and also represented the Netherlands once. In 1982, van Marwijk began his transition into a manager, retiring as a player in 1988 and becoming a full-time manager. In 2002, he won the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord. Van Marwijk managed the Netherlands from 2008 until June 2012 and guided the country to the 2010 FIFA World Cup final, which was lost 1–0 in extra-time to Spain. He left this position after losing all three matches at UEFA Euro 2012. He qualified Saudi Arabia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he coached Australia. Mark Peter Gertruda Andreas van Bommel (born 22 April 1977) is a Dutch football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. He is currently the manager of Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
