Paul Rey
Pauli Jokela better known as Paul Rey (born 23 May 1992, in Lund) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Formerly known as PJ, Rey started his musical career as a rapper, and made his debut as a pop singer in 2015, releasing his debut extended play, ''Good as Hell'' in the United States through Epic Records. He gained public attention when he participated in Melodifestivalen 2020 with his entry, "Talking in My Sleep" (2020), which earned him a sixth place. In 2021, he again took part in Melodifestivalen 2021 with " The Missing Piece". Early life Paul Rey was born in Lund, his mother fled the Chilean dictatorship and started a new life in Paris in 1973, she came to Sweden as an exchange student. In Sweden she met Paul's father who came to Sweden through an exchange program in Finland. Liam Cacatian Thomassen (born 10 September 1997), known professionally as Liamoo, is a Swedish singer. In 2016, he won the twelfth season of Swedish ''Idol'' series and released his winner's single " Playing with Fire". Career 2016–2018: ''Idol'' and first single In 2016, Cacatian Thomassen auditioned to take part in the twelfth season of Swedish ''Idol''. During the Qualifying Week he took part in the fourth heat performing the song " Sure Thing", he failed to qualify for the Finals, but went through as a wildcard. It was written by Paul Rey, Fredrik Sonefors and Laurell Barker, produced by Sonefors, Rey, Gabriel Runemark, and Theo Kylin. Melodifestivalen 2023 was the 63rd edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 4 February and 11 March 2023.
