Thomas Roy Moore (18 December 1923 – December 1991) was an English professional footballer, who played as a central defender. Moore made 3 appearances in the Football League for Grimsby Town between 1948 and 1950, and also played non-league football for Spalding United. Grimsby or Great Grimsby is a port town and the administrative centre of North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, England. Grimsby adjoins the town of Cleethorpes directly to the south-east forming a conurbation. Grimsby is north-east of Lincoln, England, Lincoln, (via the Humber Bridge) south-south-east of Kingston upon Hull, Hull, south-east of Scunthorpe, east of Doncaster and south-east of Leeds. David Moore (footballer)
David Moore (born 17 December 1959) is an English former professional footballer, football manager and physiotherapist. He is the head physiotherapist of Football League Two club Grimsby Town. As a player, he made nearly 300 appearances in the Football League between 1978 and 1990, playing as a defender for Grimsby Town, Carlisle United, Blackpool and Darlington. He also played non-league football for Boston United. In 1994, he became manager of Scunthorpe United but was replaced two years later by Mick Buxton. Career As a player He played for his hometown club Grimsby Town, Carlisle United, Blackpool, Darlington and Boston United. As a coach Moore managed Scunthorpe United between 1994 and 1996, with a record of played 99, won 37, lost 36, drawn 26. Norman Woodliffe Moore (15 October 1919 – 14 March 2007) was an English professional footballer who played as a centre forward. He played in the Football League for four clubs between 1946 and 1952, scoring 48 goals in 97 league appearances. Kevin Moore (footballer Born 1958)
Kevin Thomas Moore (29 April 1958 – 29 April 2013) was an English professional footballer. Born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, he played for Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic, Southampton, Bristol Rovers and Fulham. Moore is one of five members of his family to play for Grimsby, including his brothers David and Andy, his father Roy and his uncle Norman. Illness and death In January 2010, it was reported that Moore was suffering from Pick's disease, a rare form of dementia, and in need of 24-hour care. To support his care, his former club Southampton organised a charity golf day, while another of his former clubs, Grimsby, played a benefit match to provide for Moore's care. He died on his 55th birthday, 29 April 2013, in Hedge End, Hampshire. Andy Moore (footballer)
Andrew Roy Moore (born 14 November 1965) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Moore made 65 appearances in the Football League for Grimsby Town between 1983 and 1987, and also played Conference football for Lincoln City. Career Shamrock Rovers Moore signed for Shamrock Rovers in August 1988 and made his League of Ireland debut on the opening day of the 1988–89 season in a 1–0 loss to Athlone Town at Dalymount Park. He scored his first goal on 16 October in a 3–2 home win over Limerick. In a home game against Cork City on 11 November, Moore scored with a header for Rovers to lead 2–1 but then in injury time he caught the ball from a corner thinking the referee had blown the full-time whistle. Cork duly scored from the resultant penalty. He was sent off as Rovers lost at Limerick in December 1988. He made two appearances in the FAI Cup as well as 25 in the League. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world.
