These are the results of the men's double sculls competition in rowing at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In a sculling boat, each rower has two oars, one on each side of the boat. Aquil Abdullah
Aquil Hashim Abdullah (born June 20, 1973) was the first African-American male to qualify for the Summer Olympics in the sport of rowing. He was the first African-American rower to win the Diamond Sculls race at the Henley Royal Regatta in 2000. He was also the first African-American male to win a rowing national championship in 1996, when he won the single sculls competition. He attended George Washington University. He co-authored a book with Chris Ingraham titled ''Perfect Balance'' in 2001, after his failure to qualify for the 2000 Summer Olympics. Matthew Langridge (born 20 May 1983) is a British rower. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London he was part of the British crew that won the bronze medal in the men's eight. Matthew Wells (born 19 April 1979) is a British Olympic Rowing (sport), rower. He has competed in multiple Olympic Games and World Championships, and won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
