Rowing At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Coxless Pair
The men's coxless pair competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held from 6 to 11 August at the Lagoon Rodrigo de Freitas. The medals for the competition were presented by Barry Maister, New Zealand, member of the International Olympic Committee, and the gifts were presented by Jean-Christophe Rolland, France, President of the International Rowing Federation. Results Heats First three of each heat qualify to the semifinals, remainder goes to the repechage. Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon (Portuguese: ''Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas'') is a lagoon in the district of Lagoa, Rio de Janeiro, Lagoa in the Zona Sul (South Zone) area of Rio de Janeiro. Stewart Innes (born 20 May 1991) is a retired British rower. Career Innes took up rowing as a pupil at St Edward's School, Oxford and later competed for Durham University as an undergraduate, and for Reading University as a postgraduate. He was part of the British team that topped the medal table at the 2015 World Rowing Championships at Lac d'Aiguebelette in France, where he won a bronze medal as part of the coxless four with Scott Durant, Alan Sinclair and Tom Ransley. Alan Sinclair (born 16 October 1985) is a retired British international rower. Rowing career Sinclair is a member of the Leander Club. He was a member of the Scotland Team at the 2010 Commonwealth Rowing Championships, in Welland, Canada.
