Rowan And The Keeper Of The Crystal
Rowan and the Keeper of the Crystal is a 1996 children's fantasy novel by Australian author Jennifer Rowe, Emily Rodda. It is the third book in the ''Rowan of Rin (series), Rowan of Rin'' series. Plot summary The Keeper of the Crystal – leader of the Maris people – is dying and a messenger brings this news to Rin Rowan of Rin learns that his mother, Jiller, is to choose the new leader from one of the three warring Maris clans. Doss of Pandellis, Asha of Umbray and Seaborn of Fisk are their names. When she falls victim to a strong poison, however, Rowan finds himself in the Chooser's position as well as trying to create the antidote to wake his mother from Death Sleep. Rowan then receives a riddle of how to make an antidote by bonding with the crystal and finding the recipe against the Keeper's will. They then exit the cavern of the keeper to go to the island where Orin the first keeper went to make the antidote. They think that the water will be the answer to the second ... Jennifer Rowe
Jennifer June Rowe, (born 4 April 1948), is an Australian author. Her crime fiction for adults is published under her own name, while her children's fiction is published under the pseudonyms Emily Rodda and Mary-Anne Dickinson. She is well known for the children's fantasy series '' Deltora Quest'', '' Rowan of Rin'', '' Fairy Realm'', ''Teen Power Inc.'', the ''Rondo'' trilogy and '' The Three Doors'' trilogy, and her latest ''His Name Was Walter''. Biography Jennifer Rowe was born in Sydney, New South Wales, on 2 April 1948, and raised with two younger brothers in Sydney's North Shore. Her father was Jim Oswin, the founding general manager of ATN7 in Sydney, and was responsible for classic 1960s TV shows such as ''My Name's McGooley, What's Yours?'' and ''The Mavis Bramston Show''. ''Rowan of Rin'' is a series of five children's fantasy novels by an Australian author Emily Rodda. It follows the adventures of a shy village boy, Rowan. The series was first published in Australia in 1993 by Omnibus Books, a corporate division of Scholastic.
