Rosh HaAyin (beach Soccer)
Ironi Rosh HaAyin is a professional beach soccer team based in Rosh HaAyin, Israel. The club was founded by Eran Aviv in 2004 as a Futsal team in the Israeli Futsal League and in 2007 as a beach soccer team as part of the Israeli Beach Soccer League. Rosh HaAyin has won one championship (2011) and at the international level it has one Euro Winners Challenge (2022) and one Capital Cup (2008). Tzahi Ilos
Tzahi Ilos (born August 13, 1978 in Hadera, Israel) is a retired footballer. Ilos is the captain of the Israel national beach soccer team and he also was the coach of the national side. Sports career Ilos started his career in Maccabi Haifa as a youth player but never played in the senior team. He moved to Hapoel Haifa in the Old Liga Leumit and went to play in small teams in the lower levels of the Israeli football league system, among them Hakoah Maccabi Ramat Gan, Hapoel Hadera, Ironi Kiryat Shmona. After 3 years in the lower levels he got signed by Maccabi Netanya and returned to the top division of Israel. After a year and a half in Maccabi Netanya he returned to Hapoel Haifa and after one season in Hapoel Haifa he returned to play in the lower levels in Israel. In the summer of 2007 Ilos became the biggest name in the Israel Beach Soccer League and also got to be the captain of the Israel national beach soccer team. Israeli Beach Soccer League
The Israeli Beach Soccer League ( he, הליגה הישראלית בכדורגל חופים), currently known as Ligat Bank Yahav ( he, ליגת בנק יהב) for sponsorship reasons, is the top division in the Israeli Beach Soccer league. In July 2007 the league was inaugurated under the supervision of the Israel Football Association. To celebrate the launch of the league, a friendly game between national teams of England and Israel was played, with the Israelis winning 6–5. Background The league first edition took place every Friday at Netanya Poleg beach on newly built beach sports stadium. The players participating in ''ligat San-Miguel'' were active and retired football players, Futsal players and some talents who was found by the league scouts. At the end of the season, "Netanya's diamonds" won the championship, after beating "MZ Rosh HaAyin" 5–2 in the final. Whilst football has been played informally on beaches, the introduction of ''beach soccer'' was an attempt to codify rules for the game. The Euro Winners Cup (EWC) is an annual, continental beach soccer club competition contested between top-division European teams; the clubs that are their country's national league/cup champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) from countries all across Europe take part. 2022 Euro Winners Cup
The 2022 Euro Winners Cup was the tenth edition of the Euro Winners Cup (EWC), an annual continental beach soccer tournament for men's top-division European clubs. The championship is the sport's version of the better known UEFA Champions League in association football. Organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), the tournament was held in Nazaré, Portugal from 3–12 June. The event began with a qualification round. The competition proper then commenced, with a round robin group stage. At its conclusion, the best teams progressed to the knockout stage, a series of single elimination games to determine the winners, starting with the round of 16 and ending with the final. Rosh HaAyin ( he, רֹאשׁ הָעַיִן, lit="fountainhead", , ar, روش هاعين) is a city in the Central District of Israel. To the west of Rosh HaAyin is the fortress of Antipatris and the source of the Yarkon River. To the southeast is the fortress of Migdal Afek (Migdal Tzedek). In , it had a population of . The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities.
