Roscommon County Hurling Team
The Roscommon county hurling team represents Roscommon in hurling and is governed by Roscommon GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the Christy Ring Cup and the National Hurling League. It formerly competed in the abolished Connacht Senior Hurling Championship, finishing as runner-up in the last competition 1999. Roscommon's home ground is Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon. The team's manager is Seamus Qualter. The team last won the Connacht Senior Championship in 1913, but has never won the All-Ireland Senior Championship or the National League. Armagh County Hurling Team
The Armagh county hurling team represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of hurling. The team competes in the Nicky Rackard Cup and the National Hurling League. Armagh's home ground is Athletic Grounds, Armagh. The team's manager is Karl McKeegan. Michael Conneely
Michael Conneely (born 14 June 1949) is an Irish former hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Galway senior team. Born in Bullaun, County Galway, Conneely first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-five when he made his senior debut with Galway in the 1974 championship. Conneely went on to play a key role for Galway, and won one All-Ireland medal and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. As a member of the Connacht inter-provincial team at various times, Conneely enjoyed little success in the Railway Cup medal. At club level he was a one-time Connacht medallist with Sarfields. In addition to this he also won one championship medals. Throughout his career, Conneely made 14 championship appearances for Galway. In Gaelic games, a manager or (in Irish) ''bainisteoir'' is involved in the direction and instruction of the on-field operations of a team. The role entails the application of sport tactics and strategies during the game itself, and usually entails substitution of players and other such actions as needed. Croke Park ( ga, Páirc an Chrócaigh, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals. It serves as both the principal national stadium of Ireland and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Since 1891 the site has been used by the GAA to host Gaelic sports, including the annual All-Ireland in Gaelic football and hurling.
