''Rosaura at 10 O'Clock'' ( es, Rosaura a las 10) is a 1958 Argentine crime drama mystery film directed by Mario Soffici and starring Juan Verdaguer and Susana Campos. It was entered into the 1958 Cannes Film Festival. It is based on a 1955 novel of the same name written by Marco Denevi. It was selected as the fourth greatest Argentine film of all time in a poll conducted by the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken in 2000. In a new version of the survey organized in 2022 by the specialized magazines ''La vida util'', ''Taipei'' and ''La tierra quema'', presented at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, the film reached the 21 position. Mario Soffici
Mario Soffici (14 May 1900 – 10 May 1977) was an Argentine film director, actor and screenwriter of the classic era. Biography A native of Florence, Soffici moved to Argentina in the 1920s and began acting in 1931 and directing in 1935 on the film ''El Alma de Bandoneón'', working with popular actors of the period such as Libertad Lamarque in tango-based musical films. He directed some 40 films between 1935 and 1962, most notably ''Prisioneros de la tierra'' (1939) (often cited as one of the greatest in Argentine cinema), '' El Curandero'' (1955), '' El hombre que debía una muerte'' (1955) and '' Rosaura a las 10'' (1958). Miguel Ligero (1911–1989) was a film, television and theater actor from Argentina. Biography Ligero was born in 1911 in Rosario, Santa Fe. In 1938 he made his film debut with '' The Caranchos of Florida'' and went on to appear in some twenty films. For his work in ''Castigo al traidor'' (Punishment to the Traitor) and ''El ojo que espía'' (the spying eye), both from 1966, he was awarded the Silver Condor award for best supporting actor.
