Rory O'Connor (hurler)
Rory O'Connor (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Wexford Senior Championship club St Martin's and at inter-county level with the Wexford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a corner-forward. Early life Born in Piercestown, County Wexford, O'Connor is the son of John O'Connor and nephew of George O'Connor, both of whom won All-Ireland medals with Wexford in 1996. His brothers, Harry and Jack O'Connor, have also played for Wexford at various levels. Playing career St Peter's College O'Connor first came to prominence as a hurler and Gaelic footballer with St Peter's College in Wexford. He played in every grade of hurling and Gaelic football before eventually joining the college's senior teams. On 27 January 2017, O'Connor scored a point from midfield when St Peter's College defeated Moate Community School to win the Leinster Championship. County Wexford ( ga, Contae Loch Garman) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Leinster and is part of the Southern Region. Leinster Colleges Senior Football Championship
The Leinster colleges senior football "A" championship, is the top level Gaelic football competition for secondary schools in Leinster. The winners receive the Brother Bosco (Mulhare) Cup and advance to the All-Ireland colleges "A" senior football championship, where they compete for the Hogan Cup. St Mel's College of Longford hold the record for number of wins and this includes a record of six title wins in a row and a total of eight in the same decade. Damien Reck
Damien Reck (born 1998) is an Irish hurler who plays for Wexford Intermediate Championship club Oylegate-Glenbrien and at inter-county level with the Wexford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-back. Playing career DCU Dóchas Éireann As a student at Dublin City University, Reck immediately became involved in hurling and joined the college's freshers' hurling team in his first year. On 21 March 2018, he was selected at right wing back but spent much of the game at midfield when Dublin City University faced the University of Limerick in the freshers' final. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 85th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players under the age of eighteen since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. Rapparees Starlights GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland. The club fields teams in hurling as Rapparees and in Gaelic football as Starlights. The Double is a term in Gaelic games that refers to a county winning the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in the same year. Other major trophies won in combination in the same year at minor or under-21 levels are also often referred to as doubles. Similarly, the winning of the All-Ireland and the National League titles in the same year may also be referred to as the Double, albeit an inferior one. Oulart The Ballagh GAA
Oulart (, formerly ''Ubhallghort'' - ''"the orchard"''), is a small village in the southeastern corner of Ireland. It is situated in County Wexford just off the R741 regional road halfway between the towns of Gorey to the north and Wexford to the south. Raheenduff or "Black little fort" in English, is a small hamlet within the extremities of Oulart village and is home of Cooney's local grain store, village store and public house, which has been managed by the Redmond family since the 1950s. Two other townlands in Oulart, Kilnamanagh and Kyle, are home to businesses such as a plant nursery, pubs, SPAR supermarket, and auto services business. Dual player or dual star is a term used in Hiberno-English to describe someone who competes in multiple sports — for example, in Victorian Ireland, cricket and hurling. The term today in Gaelic games typically describes a male player who plays both Gaelic football and hurling or, if a female player, a player of ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. The player does not necessarily have to play at the same standard in both sports.
