Roosevelt Barnes (American Football)
Roosevelt Barnes, Jr. (born August 3, 1958) is a former football linebacker for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL) and a current sports agent. He played three sports at Purdue University— football, basketball, and baseball. While he was most noted as a football player, he also enjoyed significant success in basketball, playing on Purdue's 1980 Final Four team. After retiring from professional football, in 1987 Barnes became a partner and contract advisor with Maximum Sports Management. He has negotiated contracts for Laveranues Coles, Walter Jones, Ray Lewis, Ndamukong Suh, Roman Oben, and Andre Wadsworth among others. High school Barnes attended Wayne High School in Fort Wayne. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is an amateur sports organization based in the United States. A multi-sport organization, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. Caleb Swanigan
Caleb Sylvester Swanigan (April 18, 1997 – June 20, 2022) was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers. He was ranked among the top prep players in the national class of 2015 by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN. He completed his senior season in the 2014–15 academic year for Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who went on to win the first state championship in the school's history. Swanigan was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball and a McDonald's All-American. Swanigan originally committed to Michigan State University, but later decommitted and committed to Purdue University. The Summit Athletic Conference, or SAC, is a high school athletic conference consisting of ten high schools located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Three of the schools are private; one being a Lutheran academy, and the other two being Catholic preparatories. The rest are public schools, being part of Fort Wayne Community Schools. Two limited members are part of Northwest Allen County Schools and Southwest Allen County Schools. All member schools are located in Allen County, Indiana. Andre Wadsworth (born October 19, 1974) is a former football defensive end. He played College football for Florida State University, and earned All-American honors. He was selected in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Early years Wadsworth was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He attended Class A Florida Christian School in Miami-Dade County, Florida, where he starred at tight end for the Florida Christian Patriots high school football team. Roman Oben (born October 9, 1972) is a former professional American football player. He played college football at the University of Louisville before being drafted by the New York Giants in 1996.
