Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional sport, professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously (though sometimes with a Handicapping, handicap) and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual time trial, individual riders or team time trial, teams race a course alone against the clock. Lisa Brennauer
Lisa Brennauer (born 8 June 1988) is a German former Cycle sport, racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2022, for six different teams. On the track, Brennauer won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Cycling at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's team pursuit, women's team pursuit with Mieke Kröger, Lisa Klein (cyclist), Lisa Klein and Franziska Brauße, setting the new world record. She also won two gold medals at the 2021 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, and four gold medals over three different UEC European Track Championships. Lauren Kitchen
Lauren Rollin (born 21 November 1990) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2012 and 2021. A female road cyclist from New South Wales, Australia, Rollin studied a Bachelor of Planning at the University of NSW in Sydney part-time as well as cycling for NSW and Australia at local, interstate and international events. In September 2016 she was announced as part of the squad for 2017. She left the team after one season, joining for the 2018 season. Rollin announced her retirement from professional cycling in May 2021. Lauren Rollin married former professional Canadian cyclist Dominique Rollin in 2021. The ''Union Cycliste Internationale'' (UCI; ; en, International Cycling Union) is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events.
