Ronan O'Mahony
Ronan O'Mahony (born 28 May 1989) is an Irish former rugby union player, who played for Munster. He normally played as a wing, but occasionally played fullback. O'Mahony represented Garryowen in the All-Ireland League. Munster O'Mahony made his debut for Munster A on 27 November 2009, replacing Simon Zebo in a British and Irish Cup game against Bristol and scoring a try. He was part of the Munster A team that won the 2011–12 British and Irish Cup, scoring a try against Neath. He was promoted to a development contract with the senior Munster squad for the 2013–14 season. O'Mahony made his debut for the senior Munster team on 19 April 2013, starting against Dragons in a Pro12 fixture and scoring a try. He scored the winning try in Munster's 16–10 win against Scarlets on 21 December 2013. O'Mahony signed a one-year development contract extension in March 2014. United Rugby Championship
The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. The current name was adopted in 2021 when the league expanded to include four South African teams previously from the SANZAR Super Rugby competition. The league is one of the three major professional leagues in Europe (along with the English Premiership Rugby, Premiership and the French Top 14), the most successful teams from which go forward to compete in the European Rugby Champions Cup. Italy's national under-20 rugby union team has competed in both the IRB Junior World Championship and IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy. They were one of four teams relegated in 2009 to the Junior World Trophy after finishing at the bottom of the tournament. 2017–18 British And Irish Cup
The 2017–18 British and Irish Cup is the ninth and final season of the annual rugby union competition for second tier, semi-professional clubs from Britain and Ireland. Munster A are the defending champions having won the 2016–17 final against Jersey Reds 29–28 at Irish Independent Park, Cork on 21 April 2017. The format of the competition is similar to last season with Scottish clubs not competing. For the third consecutive season the four Welsh teams are the reserve sides of the teams competing in the Pro14 competition instead of clubs from the Welsh Premier Division.
