Romania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2007
Romania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. They selected their entry, "Liubi, Liubi, I Love You" by Romanian group Todomondo through the national selection competition ''Selecția Națională 2007'' in February 2007. Controversy surrounded the event, as Romanian Television (TVR) disqualified several entries over the course of the competition. Prior to the 2007 contest, Romania had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest nine times since its first entry in 1994. Its highest placing in the contest had been third place, which the nation achieved in 2005. In 2006, Romania finished in fourth place. Prior to Eurovision, "Liubi, Liubi, I Love You" was promoted by a music video and a promotional tour in Belarus. 3rei Sud Est (also spelled 3 Sud Est or 3SE, styled forms of ''Trei Sud-Est'', ) is a dance music group from Romania. The group was formed in 1997. The acronym translates in English by "Three South-East", because the band had three youths from Constanta, which is in the South-Eastern part of Romania. The first single stayed a full year on the Romanian charts. In 2001 the Rai Uno Uno mattina TV show hosted by Cristiano Malgioglio has invited and presented the stage group as the most successful band in Romania. Rednex is a Swedish musical group whose style is a mix of American country music and modern Eurodance, with their appearance and stage names taking inspiration from the American redneck stereotypes. Vama Veche (historical names: ''Ilanlâk'', ''Ilanlâc'', tr, Ilanlık) is a town in Constanța County, Romania, on the Black Sea coast, near the border with Bulgaria, at 28.57 E longitude, 43.75 N latitude. Locomondo is one of the most known and successful bands in Greece. The 6-member band fronted by Markos Koumaris, the main songwriter and composer of the group, fuses Reggae, Ska and Caribbean sounds with Greek lyrics and Greek traditional musical elements. Marius Moga () is a Romanian singer, songwriter, producer and television personality. He writes and produces music in various styles and genres, especially pop, R&B and club music. In 2011, he became the judge and mentor of the reality singing show ''Vocea României''. Wassabi
Wassabi were a Romanian musical girl group established in 2006 under the management of Marius Moga, who also wrote many of their songs. The band was made up of Laura Petrescu, Veronica Tecaru, Ramona Sora, and Luisa Luca. Career The group launched its series of hits with the album ''Și m-am îndrăgostit de tine''. The album contained "Have Some Fun with Radio 21" that was used as the signature song for the Romanian radio station Radio 21.
