''Rollin is the second studio album by American metal band Texas Hippie Coalition. It was released on July 6, 2010 and reached number 29 on the US Heatseekers Albums chart. Production The album, which was their first with Carved Records, contains Version 2 of "Pissed Off and Mad About it" (the first single from the band) produced by David Prater. Touring The band toured the United States and Europe in mid-2010 with a stop at Bospop Festival in the Netherlands. Critical reception The album was touted by VH1's ''That Metal Show'' as "one of the greatest sophomore albums ever". Texas Hippie Coalition (sometimes stylized THC) is an American heavy metal band from Denison, Texas. History The band was formed in Denison, Texas by Big Dad Ritch, along with his friend John Exall and other friends. Several lineup changes occurred before, ''Rollin'', with producer Dave Prater. ''Rollin'' arrived on July 6, 2010, which was their first national release. In early 2012 the group began working with producer Bob Marlette. Their first single " Turn It Up" was released in June of that same year. ''Peacemaker'' was released on August 14, 2012, and was ranked 20 on '' Billboard'' Hard Rock Albums. In February 2014, it was announced that '' Ride On'', the fourth studio album from the quartet is expected to be released October 7, 2014. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Carved Records is an American record label operating out of Dallas, Texas, that began operation in 2009. History Carved Records was founded by CEO Tim Porter (after a career in many non-music business ventures) and Vice President of Operations Phil Thomas (a music industry veteran with over 20 years in the music business). Since forming in 2009, the label has released six albums and one compilation album. '' Pride of Texas '' is the first studio album by American metal band Texas Hippie Coalition. It was released on February 12, 2008. Production The album was produced by David Prater, and was mastered by David Zycheck at Largemouth Recording Studio. Composition "Clenched Fist", the second song on the album, is dedicated to guitarist Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott, who was a significant influence on the band. '' Peacemaker '' is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Texas Hippie Coalition. It was released on August 14, 2012 and reached No. 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hard Rock Albums chart. The singles, "Damn You to Hell" and " Turn It Up", were the first by the band to chart on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock chart, peaking at 40 and 39, respectively. Production The album was produced by Bob Marlette. Composition According to lead vocalist Big Dad Ritch, "Peacemaker", the title track from the album, was written from the perspective of a gun, due to many of his previous compositions being written from his point of view. He goes on to state that "I'm not using that gun to rob somebody, to take what they got, I'm gonna be using that gun to protect what's mine." Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Bospop Festival
Bospop is an annual rock festival in Weert, Netherlands. It started off in 1981 as an initiative by the local youth, as an event for local amateur bands. Within a few years, it was able to book renowned Dutch bands like Fatal Flowers, Herman Brood & His Wild Romance and Golden Earring. With the help of Mojo Concerts, it upscaled in the 90s and started to book international artists like John Hiatt and Marillion.
