Rolf Gupta
Rolf Arvind Gupta (born 14 January 1967 in Uppsala) is a Norwegian contemporary composer and conductor. Career Gupta has studied with Jorma Panula at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki as well as with Ilya Musin and Herbert Blomstedt. Gupta also studied composition with Olav Anton Thommessen, Per Nørgård, Antonio Bibalo and Lasse Thoresen at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. 2003 to 2005 saw Gupta acting as the chief conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and he led the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra from 2004 to 2006. As a guest conductor, he has worked with such orchestras as the Oslo Philharmonic, which has performed his work ''Chiaroscuro'' while touring internationally. Christian Lindberg
Christian Lindberg (born 15 February 1958) is a Swedish trombonist, conductor and composer, Biography Early life and career Lindberg was born in Danderyd. As a youth, he learned to play the trumpet, and subsequently began to learn the trombone at age 16. He originally borrowed a trombone to join his friends' Dixieland jazz group, inspired by records of Jack Teagarden. He attended the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, where his teachers included Sven-Erik Eriksson. By age 18, he had obtained a professional position in the Royal Swedish Opera Orchestra. At age 20, he left his orchestral career behind to study to become a full-time soloist. He studied with John Iveson at the Royal College of Music (1979–1980) and with Ralph Sauer and Roger Bobo in Los Angeles (1983). KORK (orchestra)
The Norwegian Radio Orchestra (Norwegian, ''Kringkastingsorkestret'', abbreviated as KORK) is a radio orchestra affiliated with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (''Norsk rikskringkasting AS'', or NRK). Its principal base is the ''Store Studio'' at the NRK's headquarters in Oslo. The orchestra's current chief administrator is Rolf Lennart Stensø. As of 2018, KORK consists of fifty-nine musicians. Gisle Kverndokk
Gisle Kverndokk (born 3 February 1967 in Trondheim, raised in Skien) is a Norwegian contemporary composer. Education In his teens, Kverndokk studied composition with Ragnar Søderlind. After having completed high school, Kverndokk enrolled at the Norwegian Academy of Music from which he graduated with diploma in 1994, having studied under the tutorship of Olav Anton Thommessen, Lasse Thoresen and Alfred Janson. Kverndokk has also studied at the Juilliard School in New York with John Corigliano and David Diamond. Career 1992 saw Kverndokk being bestowed with one of the main prizes of the Juilliard Composers Competition with his orchestral work ''Selene''. The theatre was founded in 1912, after an initiative from Hulda Garborg and Edvard Drabløs. It opened in 1913, touring with two plays, ''Ervingen'' by Ivar Aasen and ''Rationelt Fjøsstell'' by Hulda Garborg. Its first official performance was Ludvig Holberg's comedy ''Jeppe på berget'', with Haakon VII of Norway and the prime minister of Norway among the spectators.
