Rok Elsner (born 25 January 1986) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Austrian club DSG Ferlach. Personal life His grandfather, Branko, and his father, Marko, were both footballers. His older brother, Luka, is a football manager and former player. Nogometni klub IB 1975 Ljubljana or simply NK IB 1975 Ljubljana is a Slovenian football club which plays in the city of Ljubljana. They won the Slovenian Cup twice and the Slovenian Supercup once. History The club was founded in 1975 as NK Ježica. In the next two decades they competed mostly in the Ljubljana League, which was the fifth or sixth level of Yugoslav football. After the independence of Slovenia the league was transformed into the intercommunal MNZ League, and the club was renamed to NK Factor Ježica. They merged with nearby Črnuče in 1997 and therefore played in Slovenian Second League until 1999. Factor was then relegated to third level, where they stayed until 2004, when they won the centre zone and defeated Korte in promotion play-off. After returning to the second division, the club had to move their home matches to ŽŠD Ljubljana Stadium due to insufficient criteria of their home field. 2011–12 Ekstraklasa
The 2011–12 Ekstraklasa was the 78th season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. It started on 29 July 2011 and concluded on 6 May 2012. A total of 16 teams participated, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2010–11 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the 2010–11 season of the I Liga. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. Śląsk Wrocław won the title, which marked their 2nd title in Ekstraklasa history. Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. Slovenian Football Cup
The Slovenian Football Cup ( sl, Pokal Nogometne zveze Slovenije, ) is the top knockout tournament of Slovenian football and the second most important football competition in Slovenia after the Slovenian PrvaLiga championship. The cup was established in 1991 following the breakup of Yugoslavia. Since 2020, it has been known as Pokal Pivovarna Union after its headline sponsor, the Union Brewery. As of 2022, a total of 17 clubs have reached the cup final; the most successful side in the history of the competition is Maribor, who have triumphed 9 times in their 14 cup final appearances. They are followed by Olimpija and Koper, who both won four titles. Primorje hold the record for most appearances in the final without winning the title, finishing as runners-up in three consecutive finals between 1996 and 1998. Luka Elsner (born 2 August 1982) is a Slovenian professional football manager and former player. He is the manager of French Ligue 2 team Le Havre. Marko Elsner (11 April 196018 May 2020) was a Slovenian professional association football, footballer who played as a defender (association football), defender. Club career Born in Ljubljana, capital of SR Slovenia (then part of Yugoslavia), Elsner played for FC Wacker Innsbruck, Wacker Innsbruck's youth team before returning to Ljubljana where he played with ND Slovan, Slovan before joining NK Olimpija Ljubljana (defunct), Olimpija in 1977. In 1983 he was signed by Red Star Belgrade, where he stayed for four seasons.
