Franz Freiherr Rohr Von Denta
Franz Freiherr Rohr von Denta (30 October 1854 – 9 December 1927) was an List of Austro-Hungarian Field Marshals, Austro-Hungarian field marshal and field commander who served as the last commander of the First Army (Austria-Hungary), Austro-Hungarian First Army. Early life Born in Arad, Romania, Arad, Kingdom of Hungary, Austrian Empire (modern-day Romania), in 1854 as Franz Denta, son of an army NCO, he became a Army ranks and insignia of the Austro-Hungarian Army, lieutenant in the ''3 Galizisches Uhlanen-Regiment Erzherzog Carl'' in 1876 upon graduating from the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener-Neustadt. He later attended the Austrian Kriegsschule (Austria), War College. George Rohr is an American businessman and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and President of NCH Capital Inc, a private equity firm. Education and personal life Rohr was born in 1954 in Bogota, Colombia to Sami Rohr and Charlotte Rohr. He graduated from Harvard College and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. As an undergraduate he was President of the Harvard Lampoon during its 100th anniversary year in 1976. He and his wife Pamela L. Rohr live in New York City and Bal Harbour, Florida. The Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature is an annual prize awarded to an outstanding literary work of Jewish interest by an emerging writer. Previously administered by the Jewish Book Council, it is now given in association with the National Library of Israel. History In 2006, the family of Jewish philanthropist Sami Rohr honored his lifelong love of Jewish learning and great books by establishing the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature on his 80th birthday. Richard Rohr
Richard Rohr, (born 1943) is an American Franciscan priest and writer on spirituality based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was ordained to the priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church in 1970. In 2011, PBS called him "one of the most popular spirituality authors and speakers in the world". Life and ministry Rohr was born in Kansas in 1943. Moritz von Rohr (4 April 1868 – 20 June 1940) was an optical scientist at Carl Zeiss in Jena, Germany. A street in Jena is named after him: Moritz-von-Rohr-Straße, near Carl-Zeiss-Promenade and Otto-Schott-Straße. James E. Rohr (born October 18, 1948) is former Chairman of PNC Financial Services Group (commonly known as PNC Bank) and former CEO. Rohr served as CEO from May 2000 to April 2013 and as Chairman from May 2001 to April 2014, both times taking over for Tom O'Brien. Oskar Rohr (24 April 1912 – 8 November 1988) was a German footballer and one of the first footballers to play abroad in a foreign league. He was born in Mannheim, Germany. Early career Rohr, known primarily by his nickname "Ossi", began his career in the 1920s as a striker for hometown clubs ''FC Phönix Mannheim'' and later for VfR Mannheim. The 1st Army (german: k.u.k. 1. Armee) was a field army-level command in the ground forces of Austria-Hungary during World War I.
