Roef Ragas
Rudolphus Henricus Cornelis "Roef" Ragas (25 May 1965 – 30 August 2007) was a Dutch actor from Harderwijk. He was the older brother of Bastiaan and Jeroen Ragas. From 1984 to 1990 Ragas studied Dutch at the University of Amsterdam. He graduated on the phenomenon of "time" in " De zondvloed" by Jeroen Brouwers. Then he went to the Amsterdam Theatre School, where he graduated in 1994. He was a founding member of the Association of New Film and Television Makers, NFTVM, and sat on the board of the Dutch Association of Film and Television Makers, NBF, and the Dutch Film Festival. Ragas had a relationship since 1990 and was married to actress Susan Visser. Together they had two children. On 30 August 2007 Ragas died of sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 42, during a visit to ''Harkema'' restaurant. On Thursday 6 September 2007 he was buried in Zorgvlied Cemetery. Harderwijk
Harderwijk (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city of the Netherlands. It is served by the Harderwijk railway station. Its population centres are Harderwijk and Hierden. Harderwijk is on the western boundary of the Veluwe. The southeastern half of the municipality is largely forests. History Harderwijk received city rights from Count Otto II of Guelders in 1231. A defensive wall surrounding the city was completed by the end of that century. The oldest part of the city is near where the streets Hoogstraat and Grote Poortstraat now are. Around 1315 the city was expanded southwards, which included the construction of what is now called the Grote Kerk (Great Church). A second, northward expansion took place around 1425. Baantjer (TV Series)
''Baantjer'' is a Dutch television programme which was broadcast by RTL 4 from 6 October 1995 until 1 December 2006 for a total of 123 episodes in 12 seasons. It stars Piet Römer as Jurriaan 'Jurre' de Cock, a police detective, and Victor Reinier as Dick Vledder, his helper. The series is based on the novels of writer A. C. Baantjer. In 1999, RTL 4 broadcast the television film '' Baantjer, de film: De Cock en de wraak zonder einde'' because of the tenth anniversary of the network. Breaking The Waves
''Breaking the Waves'' is a 1996 psychological drama film directed and co-written by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier and starring English stage actress Emily Watson as her feature film acting debut. Set in the Scottish Highlands in the early 1970s, it is about an unusual young woman and of the love she has for her husband, who asks her to have sex with other men when he becomes immobilised from a work accident. The film is an international co-production between Denmark and seven other European countries, while the former's involvement as his first film led by von Trier under his Danish company Zentropa. It is the first film in Trier's Golden Heart Trilogy, which also includes ''The Idiots'' (1998) and ''Dancer in the Dark'' (2000).
