Roe Street bus station was a Transperth bus station located on Roe Street, next to Perth station in Western Australia which operated between 12 January 2014 and 17 July 2016. History Roe Street bus station opened on 12 January 2014, as a temporary replacement for the closed Wellington Street bus station. Most services transferred to this station, while others were transferred to Esplanade Busport. A second temporary bus station was also constructed on Wellington Street to handle displaced services. It had 12 stands and was used by 25 Transperth routes. Roe Street
Roe Street is a street in Perth (suburb), Perth, Western Australia. The central section of the street forms the southern boundary of the suburb of Northbridge, Western Australia, Northbridge, while the eastern end borders the Perth Cultural Centre to the north and Perth railway station to the south. The southern approach of the Hamilton Interchange, which connects the Mitchell Freeway and the Graham Farmer Freeway, passes over the street to the west. Perth City Link
Perth City Link is an urban renewal and redevelopment project in Perth, Western Australia. The projectbounded by the Mitchell Freeway, Wellington Street, the Horseshoe Bridge and Roe Street is on land that was once the Perth/City railway yard and dedicated railway property west of Perth railway station. The land was used by the railways and reserved for their use, from the 1880s until the late 1990s. At the time of early proposals, much of the space was no longer required by the railway. The foundation project, involved sinking a small section of the Fremantle railway line, between the City and Northbridge and demolishing the old Wellington Street Bus Station. Underground rail, refurbishment and extension of Perth station and a new bus station, is allowing for redevelopment of the of surface land that has been reclaimed.
